Is Gemba a bank?

Edited

Gemba is a non-bank payment provider. This means your Gemba account is payment account.

This makes your Gemba account different from a bank account. Some of the differences are:

  • Your money is safeguarded and not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), or another protection scheme that you would get with a bank account

  • You can’t get an overdraft or loan

  • You won’t earn interest

Your money is held in licensed banks, and we safeguard your money in these accounts until you pay it out.

We don't take part in any risky investment or lending activities with customers' money.
